JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Web Developer See Also: Finishers: Theology of Place COO AgencyDirector Counselor ChurchNetwork WebDeveloper
Reports to: Founder/Director or COO
Location: Preferred: Headquarters, Brookfield, CT, or could work from anywhere.
Job Purpose: Serve Finishers Project customers (users, mission agencies and churches) by developing excellent interactive web tools within the bounds of the vision, mission and core values.
Create and launch new websites according to specifications as agreed.
Salary Range: Provides or raises own support. Salary and housing allowance as negotiated. If working from home, phone and office expenses will be reimbursed. Travel expenses also reimbursed.
Position Summary:
Key Responsibilities (any of the below):
Maintain the static and interactive portions of the Finishers Project web site.
Expand the functionality of the FP website to enhance the utility for all users.
Develop and maintain sister websites, all on a Unix based host.
Assist in the specification, development and launching interactive websites as the vision expands such as a website to assist churches in moving people into missions.

Self-starter, results orientated with a positive outlook. Willingness to deliver surprising excellence and quality, cheerfully. Must have a head for project dynamics to lead leaders with a clear view of the goals and teamwork needed to achieve them. Reliable, tolerant, flexible, always thinking and acting for what is best for the customer.
Essential Job Requirements:
EDUCATION – College graduate in any field.
EXPERIENCE – Accomplishments and track record getting the job done.
Ability to persevere to the logical project.
REQUIREMENTS – Most of the interactive tools are developed using PHP, thus experience in HTML and PHP a definite plus. There is some Perl programming that either needs to be maintained or converted to PHP. Knowledge of JavaScript a plus.
PREFERENCES – Some graphic design background will also be useful. Could work part-time. Will agree to project scope and time line to complete tasks as agreed.
PHYSICAL – Willing to travel as necessary to get the job done. This is likely to be limited to building specifications or getting contracted work done.
