ROM 13:1
Let every soul be subject unto
the
higher
powers.
For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are
ordained
of God.
2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power,
resisteth
the ordinance of God:
and they that resist shall receive to themselves
damnation.
3 For rulers are not a terror to good
works, but
to
the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power?
do that which is
good,
and thou shalt have praise of the same:
4 For he is the minister of God to
thee
for
good.
But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid;
for he beareth not the sword
in vain: for he is the minister of God,
a revenger to execute
wrath
upon him that doeth evil.
5 Wherefore ye must needs be
subject,
not only
for wrath, but also for conscience sake.
6 For for this cause pay ye tribute also:
for
they
are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.
7 Render therefore to all their dues:
tribute to
whom
tribute is due; custom to whom custom;
fear to whom fear;
honour
to whom honour.
Cleanliness
2CO 7:1 Having therefore these promises,
dearly
beloved,
let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and
spirit, perfecting
holiness in the fear of God.
Consecration ROM 12:1 I
beseech you therefore,
brethren,
by the mercies of God,
that ye
present your bodies a living
sacrifice, holy,
acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable
service.
2 And
be not
conformed to
this world:
but be
ye transformed by the renewing
of
your mind,
that ye may prove
what is that good,
and acceptable, and perfect,
will
of
God.
Contentment 1TI 6:6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.

courage,
and
he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

Duty
LUK 20:21 And they asked him, saying, Master, we know that thou
sayest and teachest rightly,
neither acceptest thou the person of
any,
but teachest the way of God truly:
22 Is it
lawful
for us to give tribute unto Caesar, or no?
23
But
he perceived their craftiness, and said unto them, Why
tempt ye me?
24 Shew me a penny. Whose image

They answered and said, Caesar's. 25
And he said unto them,
Render

Endurance
LUK 21:9
But when ye
shall
hear
of wars and commotions,be not terrified:
for these things must first
come
to pass; but the end is not by and by.
10
Then said he unto them,
Nation
shall rise
against
nation, and
kingdom against kingdom:
11 And
great
earthquakes shall be in divers places,
and famines, and pestilences;
and
fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
12 But before all these, they shall lay their hands
on you,
and
persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues,
and
into
prisons, being brought before kings and rulers
for my name's sake.
13 And it
shall turn to you for a testimony.
14 Settle it therefore in
your hearts,
not to meditate
before
what ye shall answer:
15 For I will give
you a
mouth and wisdom,
which all your adversaries shall not be able to
gainsay
nor resist.
16 And ye shall be betrayed both by
parents,
and brethren,
and kinsfolks, and friends;
and some of you shall
they cause to be put to death.
17 And ye shall
be
hated of all men for my name's sake.
18 But
there shall not an hair of your head perish.
19 In
your patience possess
ye
your souls.

hardness,
as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
Faith
MAT 8:5
And when Jesus
was
entered into Capernaum,
there came unto him a centurion, beseeching
him,
6 And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at
home
sick
of the palsy, grievously tormented.
7 And Jesus
saith unto him, I
will come and heal him.
8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I
am
not
worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof:
but speak the word only, and my servant
shall be healed.
9 For I
am a
man under
authority, having soldiers under me:
and I say to this man, Go,
and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh;
and to my servant,
Do
this, and he doeth it.
10 When Jesus
heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed,
Verily
I say unto you, I have not found so great faith,
no, not in Israel.
11 And I say unto you,
That
many shall come from the east and west,
and shall sit down with
Abraham,
and Isaac, and Jacob,
in the kingdom of heaven.
12 But the children of the kingdom shall
be
cast out
into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
13 And Jesus said
unto
the
centurion,
Go thy way; and as thou
hast
believed, so be it done unto thee.
And his
servant was healed in the selfsame hour.

answering saith unto them, Have faith
in God.

Forgiveness
MAR 11:25 And when
ye
stand
praying, forgive,
if ye have ought against any: that your Father also
which
is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
26 But
if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven
forgive
your trespasses.
EPH 4:31 Let all bitterness, and wrath,
and anger, and clamour,
and evil speaking, be put away from you, with
all
malice:
32 And be ye kind one to another,
tenderhearted,
forgiving one another,
even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Freedom JOH 8:31
Then said Jesus
to
those Jews which believed on him,
If ye continue
in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
32 And
ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
33
They answered him, We be Abraham's seed,
and were never in bondage to
any
man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?
34 Jesus
answered them, Verily,
verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but
the Son abideth ever.
36 If the Son therefore
shall
make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
Fruitfulness
JOH 15:1 I am the
true
vine,
and my Father is the husbandman.
2 Every branch
in
me that beareth not fruit he taketh away:
and every branch that
beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken
unto
you.
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of
itself, except it abide in the vine;
no more can ye, except ye abide in
me.
5 I am the vine, ye are the
branches: He
that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit:
for
without me ye can do nothing.
6 If a man abide
not
in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather
them,
and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall
ask
what
ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
8 Herein is my Father
glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so
shall
ye be my disciples.

Matthew 5:14
Ye are the light of the world.
A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15 Neither do
men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick;
and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let
your light so shine before men,
that they may see your
good works, and
glorify your Father
which is in heaven.
17 ¶ Think
not that I am come to destroy the law,
or the prophets:
I am not come to
destroy, but to fulfil.
18 For verily I
say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle
shall in
no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19 Whosoever therefore
shall break one of these least commandments,
and shall teach men so,
he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but
whosoever shall do
and teach them,
the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
20 For I say unto you,
That except your righteousness shall exceed [the
righteousness] of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter
into
the
kingdom of heaven.
The
Holy Spirit of Yahwah will motivate us to love our
fellowman and it will convict us
if we overstep the bounds of
the spirit of the law. Paul said that the law of Yahwah is spiritual,
Romans 7:14.
Correction
should be motivated by love, done
with gentleness, not with hate, maliciousness, or arrogance.
Therefore, we should be the
first to show love to
others.
We may not require penance for sin (a physical show) as do some
religions.
When we help one another along the way of
life, we will fulfill the law of the Messiah, which is love.
Read again
Matthew chapter 5. Messiah Yahwah taught the way of love,
rather than
the way of tradition in dealing with our fellow man.
With this humble
attitude every problem in Yahwah’s assemblies can be overcome.
Love and
humility will guide the people of Yahwah back to a loving Mighty One
and
cause them to live their lives in harmony with His will.
Yahweh’s
Love Extends Mercy
We
must constantly remember that Almighty Yahweh first showed love to us
by opening a way of reconciliation.
All
have sinned and come short of the glory of Yahweh, Romans 3:23.
1 John 3:4. Yahweh showed
the example of His great love by sending His only begotten Son to this
earth to be the Redeemer of His people Israel,
John 3:16.
Those who
sincerely seek to serve and obey Yahweh will be granted mercy.
Yahweh gave His only begotten Son as the
perfect Passover lamb and atonement sacrifice for the sins of the
world.
Through His shed blood we may
receive remission for our sins.
Why should Almighty Yahweh love us? He did not love us for our
sinfulness, but
He loved us because we were ignorant of His Righteousness.
The
way of Yahweh is love, doing things as He
would because we have His Holy Spirit fruit of love in our hearts,
not
because we are forced to do them.
If we have His Holy Spirit motivated
fruit of love, we will desire to assist others into a higher spiritual
life
because we have seen His beauty.
Yahweh’s people love
to give, because
they have a genuine concern for their fellowman and
they wish to send
out the message of salvation to the ends of the earth.
see Tzedakah-Charity
Love (Greek -- agape)
IS
THE SPONTANEOUS
OUTGOING CONCERN AND AFFECTION FOR OUR FELLOW MAN
that comes from the
Holy Spirit. Especially is this Holy Spirit inspired love directed
toward our brethren in the Messiah.
Love will manifest itself by
showing the fruits which the Holy Spirit produces.
This is the harvest
that comes forth from our lives: a harvest that both Almighty Yahweh
and our fellow man can perceive.
A circumcised heart will keep all of the
commandments Of Yahweh.
It is a heart filled with total love for Yahweh
and for the fellow believers in Messiah Yahweh.
Let us see this
demonstrated in Deuteronomy 30:6-10.
“And Yahweh your Elohim will circumcise your heart;
Circumcision of the heart can only be defined
scripturally as keeping the commandments of Yahweh,
showing Him our
love through obedience. By keeping Yahweh’s commandments,
the repentant
believer will be recreated by the Heavenly Father into a perfect,
spiritual creature.
It is a change of mind and attitude from the
carnal, unconverted nature to the converted, obedient,
loving,
spiritual creation of the Most High,
just as the Almighty reformed this
earth and recreated it out of a very chaotic condition
His language becomes rather stern as he
terminates his epistle. His irritation with the situation in Galatia is
evident.
How he wishes for fraternal love and peace in Yahweh’s
assemblies that he had founded.
Such fraternal relationships can be
characteristic of a united assembly standing faithfully on sound
doctrine.
Now that we have seen the great High Priest,
Messiah Yahweh,
functioning in a reunified
office of king and priest,
we must conclude that
He is the High Priest
and anointed King appointed
by the Father.
But, He will select
assistants who will serve Him,
laboring for Him at His
command.
Beloved reader,

32 There is another that beareth
witness of me;
and I know that the witness which he witnesseth of me is true. 33 Ye sent unto John,
and he bare witness unto the truth.
35 He was a burning and a shining
light:
and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light. 36 But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me. 37 And the Father
himself, which
hath sent me,
hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape. 38 And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not. 39 Search
the scriptures;
for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. 40 And ye will
not
come to me,
that ye might have life. 41 I receive not honour from men.
42 But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you. 43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. 44 How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only? 45 Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. 46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. 47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words? |
| John 12:35 Then Jesus said
unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth. 36 While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them. |

10:27 And he answering said,
Thou shalt love the Lord thy God

2 And though I

and though I have all faith,
so that I
could
remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
3
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I
give my body to be burned,
and have not charity, it profiteth me
nothing.
4 Charity suffereth
long, and is
kind;
charity
envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5
Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily
provoked,
thinketh no evil;
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity,
but
rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things,
believeth
all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
8 Charity
never faileth:
but whether there be prophecies, they
shall
fail;
whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there
be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
9 For
we know
in part, and we prophesy in part.
10 But when
that
which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
11 When I was a
child, I spake as a child, I
understood as a
child,
I
thought as a child: but
when I became a man, I put away
childish
things.
12 For now we see
through a glass, darkly;
but
then
face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I
am known.
13 And now abideth
faith,
hope, charity,
these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

19 Yet a little while, and
the
world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because
I live,
ye
shall

20 At that
day ye shall
know
that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I

you.
21 He that hath my
commandments, and
keepeth
them, he it is that loveth me:
and he that loveth me
shall be loved of
my Father,
and I will love him, and
will manifest
myself

22 Judas saith unto him, not

Lord, how is it that thou

23 Jesus
answered
and said unto him,
If a man

and my
Father
will love him,
and we will come unto him, and make

him.
24 He that loveth me not keepeth

Prayer LUK 11:1 And
it came to pass, that, as he
was
praying
in a certain place,
when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord,
teach us to pray,
as John also taught his disciples.
2
And he said unto them,
When ye pray, say, Our
Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.
3 Give us day by day our daily bread.
4 And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that
is
indebted to us.
And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from
evil.
5 And he said unto them,
Which
of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say
unto him,
Friend, lend me three loaves; 6 For a
friend
of mine in his journey is come to me,
and I have nothing to set before
him?
7 And he from within shall answer and say,
Trouble
me not: the door is now shut,
and my children are with me in bed; I
cannot
rise and give thee
8 I say unto you, Though he
will
not rise and give him, because he is
his friend,
yet because of his
importunity
he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.
9 And
I say unto you,
Ask, and it shall be given
you; seek, and ye shall
find;
knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
10 For
every
one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth;
and to him that
knocketh it shall be opened.
11 If a son shall
ask
bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone?
or if he
ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?
12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a
scorpion?
13 If
ye then, being evil, know how
to give good gifts unto
your
children:
how much more shall your
heavenly Father give the Holy
Spirit to them that ask him?

Because I said to you, I saw you underneath the fig tree, you believe? You shall see greater things than these. JOH 1:51 And he says to

heard
that
it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to
lust
after her
hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
29 And if thy right eye offend
thee, pluck it out, and cast it
from thee:
for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should
perish,
and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it
from thee:
for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should
perish,
and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

let

committeth adultery.

of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus
Christ,

Rest
Learn of me,... I will give you rest.
rest
from all of thy enemies...
Matthew 11:28-29
Come to me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you

Take my yoke on you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart:
and you shall find rest to your souls.
Come
to me,... my yoke is easy, my burden is light.

The believer did not always
live
to Christ. He
began to do so
when God the Holy Spirit convinced him of sin, and when by grace he was
brought to see the dying Saviour making a propitiation for his guilt.
From the moment of the new and celestial birth the man begins
to live
to Christ. for whom we are willing to part with all that we have. He has so completely won our heart's first love, that it beats alone for Him; to His glory we would live, and in defence of His gospel we would die; He is the pattern of our life, and the model after which we would sculpture our character. Paul's words mean more than most men think; they imply that the aim and end of his life was Christ-nay, his life itself was Jesus. In the words of an ancient saint, he did eat, and drink, and sleep eternal life. Jesus was his very breath, the soul of his soul, the heart of his heart, the life of his life. Can you say, as a professing Christian, that you live up to this idea? Can you honestly say that for you to live is Christ? Your business-are you doing it for Christ? Is it not done for self-aggrandizement and for family advantage? Do you ask, "Is that a mean reason?" For the Christian it is. He professes to live for Christ; how can he live for another object without committing a spiritual adultery? Many there are who carry out this principle in some measure; but who is there that dare say that he hath lived wholly for Christ as the apostle did? Yet, this alone is the true life of a Christian-its source, its sustenance, its fashion, its end, all gathered up in one word-Christ Jesus. Lord, accept me; I here present myself, praying to live only in Thee and to Thee. |
